GVM Gross Vehicle Mass

This is the maximum your tow vehicle can weigh when fully loaded. This includes the vehicle itself, all passengers, fuel, luggage, accessories (like bull bars and roof racks), and the 'tow ball mass' from your caravan. Exceeding your GVM is very common and very dangerous.

This is the maximum weight of your caravan's axles when it is loaded and attached to the tow vehicle. It's the total weight of your loaded caravan, *minus* the weight that is being supported by the tow ball.
